Net-30

Net-30 is shorthand for an invoice payment due 30 days from the invoice date. The written agreement defines the start date, business-day rules, and what happens if an invoice is disputed or incomplete.

What the term means

The term describes when payment is due under a particular agreement; it does not guarantee when a payment will clear a bank. Organizations may have different procurement, purchase-order, approval, and payment processes. Some contracts use different terms, and payment terms can be negotiated.

Interpreters and vendors should read the actual agreement, confirm the invoice requirements, and keep a record of submission and approval dates. Missing documentation or an unresolved question may affect processing under the contract.

Separate client billing from interpreter payment

A platform may have one payment arrangement with a client and another with an interpreter. One does not automatically determine the other. Confirm the specific terms shown for each relationship; a client’s net-30 invoice term does not set an interpreter’s payout schedule.

For Lingfaro assignments, the client confirms the proposed terms before commitment, and payment follows session review. Check the terms for the specific assignment.
