Lingfaro

Work as an interpreter

Interpreting assignments call for strong language skills, sound judgment, and preparation for the setting. Lingfaro invites interpreters to share their languages, dialects, experience, and credentials for review as the service builds its Minnesota network.

Prepare your experience and credentials

Gather a clear summary of your language pairs, dialects, subject experience, training, and current credentials. Include issuing organizations and expiration dates where relevant, and be ready to provide supporting information for review.

Credentials and requirements can differ by language, specialty, and setting. Keep your information current and clarify the scope of any credential you hold.

Understand the assignment process

Assignments are scheduled with a setting, language need, format, time, and proposed terms. Review the details carefully before deciding whether the request fits your availability and qualifications.

The Lingfaro team approves the exact terms before a commitment is made. After the session, review the session record and raise any questions before payment is processed.

Review payment details

Payment and account details are handled through Stripe’s hosted pages. Review the terms presented for a specific assignment before accepting them, and make sure your account information is accurate.

A payment status shown in the service describes processing state; it does not confirm when funds will arrive at a bank.
