Changes and cancellations

Plans can change after a session is scheduled. Contact the responsible organization as soon as you know a time, location, participant, language, or format needs to change, and confirm what happens next.

Share the change promptly

Give the session reference and explain what changed, such as a new time, location, expected length, or format. If the preferred language or dialect changes, state that clearly so the request can be reviewed again.

A message about a change does not itself amend accepted terms. Wait for the revised details and any required approval before treating a changed assignment as confirmed.

If the session is cancelled

Use the cancellation process shown for the assignment and keep a note of the time the cancellation was submitted. Review the terms accepted for that session to understand any conditions that apply.

Cancellation outcomes and any proposed client fee are recorded for operator review. A cancellation does not automatically charge a fee or establish interpreter compensation.

Confirm the outcome

Check the current session status and make sure all participants know whether the session will proceed, change, or stop. If the next step is unclear, ask through the available support channel.

For a new time or arrangement, review the exact proposed terms before commitment.
