Understanding session records
A session record captures information about an interpreting assignment after it takes place. Review it for accuracy and raise questions through the appropriate process before payment.
What a session record is for
A record can help the requester and interpreter confirm the session details captured for review, such as whether it occurred, its format, and the time recorded. Use it as a record of the interpreting session.
It is not a clinical chart, court transcript, school record, or substitute for an organization’s official documentation. Keep those records in the systems and processes your organization authorizes.
Review and resolve questions
Check that the recorded session corresponds to the assignment and that the details are accurate. If something is missing or differs from your understanding, raise it for review rather than assuming the record will be corrected automatically.
Payment follows review of the session record. The Lingfaro team reviews issues that need resolution before payment proceeds.
Handle information carefully
Only include information needed to document the session. Keep sensitive participant, patient, student, or case details in the organization’s authorized system.
If you need to share a record, follow your organization’s access and privacy procedures and confirm that the recipient is authorized.
