Minnesota State Court Interpreter Roster verification

Interpreter credentials are verified against the roster and the required certification level for each proceeding type. Offers route by certification: certified interpreters go to criminal hearings; qualified interpreters cover civil matters where the rules permit. Currently certified for Spanish, Hmong, Somali, Russian, Vietnamese, Mandarin, French, Portuguese, and Lao.

Three modalities for every proceeding

Privileged-session controls

Interpreters working attorney-client matters acknowledge a per-session NDA captured in the session record. Session metadata is role-scoped: only authorized parties can see the matter.

Urgent-hearing dispatch

Mark a request urgent and the offer window shortens while the radius widens automatically. Common-language urgent hearings during court hours typically fill quickly; the system escalates to VRI or OPI if on-site isn't reached in time.

ASL and ICWA coverage

For ASL, we dispatch RID and BEI certified interpreters; sworn proceedings require the RID Special Certificate: Legal (SC:L). For ICWA and tribal-court matters, we match interpreters with cultural-fluency experience in addition to language.

Do you support Somali, Hmong, and ASL for court proceedings?
Yes. Somali and Spanish are our highest-volume languages in Hennepin and Ramsey county courts. Hmong, Karen, and ASL are also actively staffed. For ASL, we dispatch RID-certified and BEI-certified interpreters; for sworn proceedings, the RID Special Certificate: Legal (SC:L) is required. Less-common languages route through escalation; the system tells you within seconds whether a session is fillable.
Does Lingfaro cover ICWA and tribal court proceedings?
Yes. The Indian Child Welfare Act and the Minnesota Indian Family Preservation Act require language and cultural fluency in child-protection and tribal-court proceedings. Lingfaro dispatches interpreters with relevant experience for those sessions; cultural-fluency tags are part of interpreter profiles.
