Independent Contractor Interpreter — Statewide / Remote-Eligible

This posting is for interpreters who work via video remote interpreting (VRI) or over-the-phone interpreting (OPI). You can be located anywhere in Minnesota — or outside Minnesota, if you hold the relevant state credentials. All assignment details and rates are posted before you accept.

What you’ll do

Accept remote interpretation assignments dispatched through the Lingfaro app. VRI sessions require a reliable internet connection, a camera, and a quiet private space. OPI sessions use standard phone or soft-phone. You see session details, the institution, and the rate before accepting every offer.

What we’re looking for

• Professional interpreters in any language in demand in Minnesota
• Experience in medical, legal, social-services, or educational interpretation
• Technical setup for VRI: reliable broadband, camera, quiet private workspace
• Willingness to maintain a consistent availability schedule

The statewide pool handles urgent requests that can’t be filled locally, language coverage for less-common languages, and after-hours demand when on-site interpreters aren’t available.
